Welcome Sheri Yakashiro!

We are thrilled to welcome Sheri Yakashiro to the Character Council!

Bio

Sheri was raised in Abbotsford, attending high school at Rick Hansen Secondary.  She completed her BA in Criminology at Simon Fraser University, moving on to complete her Juris Doctor at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon.  After spending almost 10 years living in other cities, Sheri settled down with her now husband in Walnut Grove (Langley) where they are raising their two young daughters.  Sheri began her law career at RDM Lawyers LLP, where she started as their first ever summer student and became a partner in 2020.  Sheri’s practice focuses primarily on corporate law where she helps clients buying or selling businesses, as well as complicated estate, succession and tax planning for her corporate clients.  She finds fulfillment in doing work for non-profits and charities both in a legal capacity, but has also been on the board for Big Brother Big Sisters of the Fraser Valley for over 12 years now.  Sheri also sits on the BC Cancer Trusted Advisory Committee and you’ll often see her out at charitable golf tournaments and galas.
